While the Chevy Bolt EV has been around for a while, the Chevy Bolt EUV is brand-new for the 2022 model year. These two small electric compact SUVs contain similar powertrains, interior features, and technological programs. The place where they differ the most is in their exterior design and body style.

How To Tell The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV And 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Apart

Both models are built on the GM BEV2 platform and have a similar shape. That being said, the Chevy Bolt EUV is six inches longer, which makes it easy to distinguish when parked next to each other in Montclair, NJ, Wayne, NJ, or beyond. There are also other ways to determine which Chevy Bolt is which. Some of these ways include:

  • Headlights - The Chevy Bolt EV's headlights are on the same front panel with no space in between them. The Chevy Bolt EUV's headlights are clearly separated by a panel, dividing the upper and lower headlights.
  • Floating Roof Effect - The Chevy Bolt EV comes with a stunning "floating roof" that tricks passerby's eyes with a black section at the top of the liftgate. The Chevy Bolt EUV has a similar black section, but it doesn't extend all the way to the liftgate, which makes your eye look at the back window instead.
  • EV And EUV Badges - Of course, both models include the EV or EUV badge at the top of the headlights or liftgate.
